One the one-year anniversary of the Asbury Outpouring, in February 2024, Seedbed released The Awakening Library.

At the core of this amazing free resource is the 10 episode Asbury Outpouring Unpacked documentary series.

First, let’s talk about the Awakening Library, and the story behind it.

A Free Suite of Resources Serving the Awakening Church

The Awakening Library is a free suite of online resources for local churches and individual Christians focused on nurturing spiritual awakening in the body of Christ, accompanied by an inspiring and in-depth series of interviews that reveal how lives were changed during those incredible 16 days.

At the time of this writing, we have now passed the two year anniversary of the Outpouring at Asbury University in February 2023, and God is using the library in amazing ways!

From March to December 2024, Seedbed hosted a monthly Zoom prayer meeting to watch each video and to intercede with attendees from around the world.

Churches, and networks of churches, downloaded our Church Study Guide and began our learnings from the Asbury Outpouring for posturing themselves for the work of God in their local context.

Why Did We Create This Resource?

Why did we create this incredible, free resource?

For over a decade, we have sought to resource the people of God to sow for a great awakening in our generation. And as you may know, as Seedbed was birthed as an initiative of Asbury Theological Seminary, we have a deep connection to Wilmore, Kentucky and its legacy of revival.

Based on that experience and relationship history, Asbury University invited Seedbed to come and help pastor the overwhelming student response in February 2023, which attracted over 50,000 people (some estimates are as high as 70,000) in person and touched millions online.

Drawing on the insights of leaders who banded together to steward the revival, and our own learnings from years of ministry in our annual New Room conferences, we assembled this collection of materials and stories to help individuals and churches prepare for outpouring in their community.

And supported by our incredible Seed Team donors, the entire suite of resources became a reality.

The Awakening Library includes the Asbury Outpouring Unpacked Documentary Series, filmed in partnership with Alpha US and Setter Studios, with kind contributions from Asbury University and many students and staff.

Translating the Documentary Series into Nine Languages

As the trailer began to be shown in events in Australia and other locations, to thousands in conferences and local church events, we realized that we would need to translate into a few core languages to give longevity and reach to the project.

With the generosity of our incredible donors, we provided closed captions on the trailer and all ten short films in nine languages!

This includes subtitles in:

• English
• Spanish
• Portuguese
• Hindi
• German
• French
• Russian
• Chinese (Mandarin), and
• Korean

What Else is in The Awakening Library?

We also created ten Core Learnings booklets, available free online and in print for a low cost, for helping churches apply the insights we have learned from our New Room events and the Asbury Outpouring to their context.

The site also includes Awakening Video Resources from over 10 years of our New Room events.

Finally, we created a Church Study Guide, so local churches can go through the material and apply it together!
